Dr. Steven Nesbit is Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering at Lafayette College, where he has spent 30 years devoted to the study of human sports movement. He was the designer of the USGA's original golf swing study that determined the contributions of the player and club to driving distance and has served as the Chief Technology Officer of Jacobs 3D for the past 10 years.

Dr. Nesbit is considered to be the father of golf biomechanics with his paper "Work and Power Analysis of the Golf Swing." Nesbit and Jacobs continuously upgrade their 3D Golf Analysis Systems, and Nesbit is always working behind the scenes to verify the biomechanical models Jacobs uses in his daily teaching and instruction development.
